ALPINE SUMMIT SERVICES was launched.  So now my Carpentry workshop doubles up Summer & Winter.  I feel I can offer a professional service to you the skier and boarder based on my experiences, knowledge and passion for Alpine sports.

Edge & wax

SKI & BOARD EDGE AND WAX

  • Clean base with lifting solvent.
  • Scrape clean with metal scraper and sharpen base edge
  • Sharpen side edges by hand to 1, 2 or 3 degrees depending on ability and spec.
  • De burr edges and de tune tip and tail to spec.
  • Hot Iron wax.
  • Scrape off wax with acrylic scraper. Brush wax into base with nylon brush (structuring).
  • Polish up base with pad and buff.

Half service

EDGE & WAX AND BINDING BOOT CHECK

  • Binding checked with skiers own boot. DIN settings checked using skier’s height, weight, and ability. NB. Bring own ski boot for this service.
  • Clean base with lifting solvent.
  • Scrape clean with metal scraper and sharpen base edges.
  • Sharpen side edges 1, 2, 3 degrees depending on specification. Diamond file finish.
  • De burr edges and de tune tip and tail to spec.
  • Hot iron wax.
  • Scrape of wax with acrylic scraper. Brush wax into base with nylon brush (structuring)
  • Polish with pad. Apply Teflon finish (Zardoz ) buff . Remove any wax on edges.

Full Service

  • Full base P-Tex all grooves and gouges.
  • Scrape clean with metal scarper and sharpen base edges.
  • Sharpen side edges 1, 2, 3, degrees depending on specification. Diamond file finish.
  • De burr edges and de tune tip and tail to spec.
  • Hot iron wax.
  • Scrape of wax with acrylic scraper. Brush wax into base with nylon brush (structuring)
  • Polish with pad. Apply Teflon finish (Zardoz) buff. Remove any wax on edges.
